Good decisions start with good data. Our geospatial surveys give engineers, architects, and builders the accurate insight they need. Every survey we carry out follows RICS and CICES standards, state-of-the-art equipment and precise site measurements so you know the quality and precision are always there.
These Surveys capture the physical features and levels of a site, like buildings, boundaries, and natural elements.
Accurate site levels and detailed feature mapping is really helpful for architects and engineers so they can clearly understand existing site conditions before design work begins.
We create accurate floor plans, elevations, and sections of your existing building. This information supports the design of refurbishments, extensions, or new construction.
You need to know the site inside out, so we capture the environment exactly as it is.
Advanced laser scanning technology will deliver precise point cloud data; from which we
can derive a full suite of 3d models and details.
They help architects and engineers understand the site layout and levels before design begins.
They offer accurate building data, whether for renovation, redevelopment, or just for documentation.
This service captures the complex structures fast and with a very high accuracy.

“M J Hernon Engineering Surveys undertook three drone surveys for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) over a period of five months running from November 2025 – March 2026. The drone surveys produced orthomosaic and DSM information compiled and produced into a report provided to SEPA. This data was used by SEPA to compare the landscape over time for evidence of disturbances or change. MJ Hernon Engineering Surveys provided additional support in 3D modelling and expertise to enhance SEPAs interpretation of the drone survey data.”
