Our high-resolution orthomosaic mapping combines true to life detail with spatial accuracy. Over time, enabling detailed progress tracking, quality assurance, and
supports onward project planning.
This approach enables rapid coverage of large or hard-to-access areas, reducing survey time and delivering cost savings compared with traditional terrestrial surveys. When it’s too hard to walk it, we can fly it.
Our digital terrain models (DTMs) give you a clear view of slopes, drainage, and earthworks. Over time, we can provide detailed volumetric calculations and visualise changes in topography – whether naturally occurring or man-made.
We turn aerial images into detailed 3D models, helping you visualise complex sites, identify clashes, and communicate plans clearly with your team and stakeholders.
Gives you full, actionable site imagery to keep projects on track.
Fast terrain data to enhance traditional terrestrial surveys
Clear slope and drainage insight for smooth site operations.
Realistic 3D models that make coordination and communication easier.

“M J Hernon Engineering Surveys undertook three drone surveys for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) over a period of five months running from November 2025 – March 2026. The drone surveys produced orthomosaic and DSM information compiled and produced into a report provided to SEPA. This data was used by SEPA to compare the landscape over time for evidence of disturbances or change. MJ Hernon Engineering Surveys provided additional support in 3D modelling and expertise to enhance SEPAs interpretation of the drone survey data.”
