Small measurement mistakes? They can turn into big, expensive headaches fast. Our engineering surveys stop that mess before it starts. You get solid, accurate measurements you can count on from day one to the finish line.
We mark exactly where each structure should go. With clear control points in place, your team can get to work, sure that everything lines up with the design
We keep an eye on your structures over time. Catching movement early lets you fix
small issues before they turn into bigger headaches.
Our site engineering support means your team always has someone to rely on. From double-checking levels to verifying layouts, we help keep everything on track.
We establish strong survey control networks that act as a reference across the site. A
tight control network ensures your contractors are all working on the same page.
A small mistake in positioning gets expensive fast so getting it right from the start keeps your build on track and your budget in check.
Catching movement early keeps buildings safe and sound.
Work stops when measurements are off. Regular on-site checks keep everything aligned so your team keeps moving without delays
If your reference points are wrong, everything downstream is wrong.

“M J Hernon Engineering Surveys undertook three drone surveys for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) over a period of five months running from November 2025 – March 2026. The drone surveys produced orthomosaic and DSM information compiled and produced into a report provided to SEPA. This data was used by SEPA to compare the landscape over time for evidence of disturbances or change. MJ Hernon Engineering Surveys provided additional support in 3D modelling and expertise to enhance SEPAs interpretation of the drone survey data.”
